    35th Annual Poetry Contest

    Poems must be:

    • Original
    • Previously unpublished
    • No more than two pages
    Each contestant may enter one poem only.
    Writers must be one of the following:
    • Live within 200 miles of Carl Sandburg College District 518
    • Must have attended Carl Sandburg College

    Note: Teachers may submit poems on behalf of their class/students.

    Four categories:

    • Elementary (1st-5th)
    • Junior (6th-8th)
    • Intermediate (9th-12th)
    • Adult

    Submissions accepted Aug. 15 to Sept. 28, 2023
    Winners banquet to be held Nov. 3, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.
